The para-athlete grew up playing netball, basketball, tennis, dancing, and swimming before finding a love for athletics.
Ella won a total of 10 national championships in the shot put and discus events throughout high school as well as smashing numerous Australian junior records. In 2022, she made her international debut at the Oceania Championships in Mackay, achieving a silver and bronze medal in the shot put and discus events, respectively.
At 17-years-old she was the youngest female selected to represent Australia at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships, where she came fourth place in the shot put against competitors who were twice her age and more, earning a quota spot for the Australian Paralympic team for 2024.
Her long-term goal is to represent Australia at the 2032 Brisbane Paralympics and win a medal in front of her home crowd.
Ella is guided by John Eden, a successful highly experienced Paralympic coach who also competed at multiple Paralympic Games between 1980 and 2000.
