My wife and I send our warmest congratulations to all those who represented Australia at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. I feel certain that the people of Australia shared my delight in seeing the Australian Paralympic team compete so proudly on the world stage. From the Aboriginal artwork displayed on the team’s uniforms to the Yarning Circle at the Paralympic Village and, of course, through to the fantastic performances, the Australian team’s participation at the Games truly embodied the values of the nation and the Paralympic spirit of skill, determination, courage and inclusivity. Competing at the Paralympic Games is an outstanding achievement in itself, and I am full of admiration for each and every athlete’s remarkable strength and dedication. The monumental effort of the entire Australian team has undoubtedly inspired a new generation of Paralympians and I hope to witness the athletes’ continued successes for many years to come. CHARLES R
