Thomas Goodman first pulled on the green and gold in 2008 when he represented Australia with the Pararoos in Canada.
The South Australian isn’t the only sporting Goodman in the family, with younger sister Molly Goodman a part of the Australian Women’s Rowing Team. Molly, a national champion, dual Olympian and a world champion, providing inspiration to the equally determined Thomas, spurred on by watching her compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Thomas turned to Para-triathlon on a whim, he signed up for a local triathlon in Alice Springs and ended up loving it. After competing in several, he decided to move back to South Australia and find a coach who could help him compete at the highest level.
In 2023, he became a first-time Oceania champion in Stockton, New South Wales.
