Yallouris

BMX rider Nick Yallouris was introduced to track cycling in 2010, and following a stellar 2014/15 season, he was invited to join the Australian Para-cycling team as pilot for Commonwealth Games medallist Paul Kennedy.

Making his international debut at the 2015 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, Nick and Paul finished sixth in the tandem 1km time trial.

A steep learning curve, Nick got a taste for international tandem cycling and soon set his sights on Paralympic gold.

Based at Chittaway Point on the NSW Central Coast, Nick and cyclist Matt Formston trained a minimum 13 days per fortnight in the lead-up to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Competing in four events, they placed fifth in the 4000m individual pursuit, just missing a berth in the race for bronze, sixth in the 1000m time trial and 13^th in the time trial B and road race B.

Outside of cycling, Nick enjoys travelling, listening to music, and working on cars, bikes and boats.
