The incredible feats and powerful stories of the Australian Paralympic Team are poised to reach record audiences with confirmation from Paralympics Australia today that Nine Entertainment Co. will be its media rights partner for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The landmark agreement sets a media rights record for Australian Paralympic sport and provides the stage for the nation’s elite Para-athletes to be showcased across Nine’s suite of media assets, including free-to-air television, streaming services, radio, print and online publishing platforms.
“We are delighted to welcome Nine Entertainment as our media rights partner for Paris 2024,” Paralympics Australia Chief Executive Catherine Clark said.
“This is a truly historic outcome for our Paralympic athletes aspiring for Paris and for the entire Australian Paralympic Movement.
“Nine’s vast experience and professionalism in sports coverage, combined with its extensive reach across media platforms, will enable the stories of our athletes to be told like never before.
“This partnership provides the bedrock for us to launch into 18 months of growth and success.”

Clark said key considerations in reaching agreement included Nine’s commitment to engage with and promote the Australian Paralympic Team’s values, its ability to reach new audiences, and its partnership in boosting Paralympics Australia’s work to grow participation in sport among the 20 percent of Australians who live with a disability.
“Our organisation firmly believes in the power of sport to change lives, especially for people with an impairment,” Clark said.
“If through our new partnership with Nine we can tell that story further and wider and encourage greater participation in sport, that in itself is a great outcome.”
The new partnership with Nine brings to an end Paralympics Australia’s enduring relationship with the Seven Network, of which Clark said: “Seven was our broadcast partner for every Summer and Winter Games since Rio 2016 and they did a tremendous job. We sincerely thank Seven for their contribution to Australian Paralympic sport.”
