Today (28 January), iconic Australian swimwear company Speedo have announced they will resume their partnership with Paralympics Australia for a fourth consecutive Paralympic Games.
“We are thrilled to extend our exclusive partnership with Paralympics Australia that will see us supply the green and gold swimmers to our national team heading to Tokyo 2020,” said Graham Eyres, Brand Manager at Speedo Australia.
He added: “Speedo is passionate about life in and around the water, and our aim is to inspire people to swim. We are sure the Paralympic athletes in Tokyo will inspire all Australians to get involved in sport and swimming.”
The agreement will see the company supplying exclusive high performance competition and training gear to the Australian Paralympic swimming team that will give them a competitive edge at the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Since their establishment in 1990, Paralympics Australia has been helping Australians with disabilities to participate in sport and compete at the Paralympic Games.
“Paralympics Australia is delighted to welcome Speedo back into the Paralympic family. Their support and commitment in the lead-up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games is a huge boost for Para-swimmers aiming for glory against the world’s best,” said Lynne Anderson, Paralympics Australia’s Chief Executive.
“Speedo is an iconic leader in their field, and what better way to showcase our nation’s colours of green and gold than with a brand that is so well known and loved by Australians. Our team will be wearing their Paralympic swim gear with pride in Tokyo next year.”
As part of the partnership, Speedo will be the sole provider of swim gear for the Australian Paralympic swim team.
The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games are set to mark Speedo’s fourth consecutive Games supplying high performance swimsuits to Australia’s Paralympic Team.
